Telealarm Carephone 74 Analogue to Digital

Changing your Telealarm TA74 alarm unit from Analogue to Digital (PSTN to Broadband)

You will need to contact our 24hr Technical Support Helpline to assist in this request, one of our team will remotely reconfigure the alarm unit after the following steps have been completed.

Our Technical support assistant will also require the unit serial number and unit I.D number, see below:

 

Unit Alarm Number. This will be handwritten in marker and begins with A

A) Remove the power lead from the Carephone 74, The unit will power off.

 

B) Remove the telephone cable from the alarm unit as market below.

C) Connect the data cable to the ethernet port on the base of the alarm unit (port on far left) and Plug into the spare port on the Broadband router.

D) Reconnect the power supply to the bottom on the alarm unit. The alarm will switch on after a couple of seconds.

 

 

E) When the above steps have been complete please call our 24hr helpline from a mobile telephone. Our technicians will dial into the alarm unit. You will hear the unit chime and then press the S (Blue) button 3 times. After 30 seconds the alarm unit will chime again and this is the reconfiguration complete.

G) Test the alarm unit using the Pendant Transmitter and inform the Monitoring Centre responder that you have successfully reconfigured the alarm unit from analogue to I.P
