Domestic Violence Alarm - With Audio Recording

Domestic violence alarmdomestic violence alarm

With a domestic violence alarm you will never be left to deal with a situation alone. The alarm can be activated totally silently, sending a signal to our 24-hour Response Centre in Ireland. A “listen-in” audio channel is then opened allowing our trained Operators to remotely assess the seriousness of the situation. Our Operators can contact the Emergency Services in Ireland or the UK if neccesary to alert them to the incident. This can give peace of mind to anyone who has sufferred from physical abuse in the home or elsewhere. Depending on your instructions to us, our trained Operators can also notifiy a keyholder or nominated person to check in on you if an alert has been activated.

A recording is also made of all activity once the button is triggered. This will be available to you on request and can be useful as evidence in later court proceedings. The alarm button can be wall mounted almost anywhere in the home, kept in your pocket or worn as a pendant or wristwatch.

How the alarm works

When it is pressed, the alarm button transmits a wireless signal to a base unit that is located elsewhere in the home. It is the base unit that activates a call through to our 24/7 monitoring centre and records details of the incident. Other alarms can be added around the home and each can connect wirelessly to the same base unit.

Other alarms for domestic violence prevention

Other types of alarms that can give reassurance to people who live in fear of domestic violence or any other type of violence include fixed position panic buttons for around the home and bogus caller buttons. You can read more about these on our telecare for domestic violence page. All the alerts are monitored 24/7 by our trained CareLink Operators. Alternatively please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you have about our domestic violence alarm systems.
