This community safety event we attended earlier in the week turned out to be an excellent day out for our staff. 

The emphasis of the day was on ‘fun’ and the event was certainly that! Hosted by Pearse McBride in Armagh City Hotel, we even participated in a bit of chair dancing in the afternoon (sorry no pictures of that!).

Lots of great information on services and organisations available for older people living in the Armagh area was available.

Over 200 people attended the function and speakers included Martin McCrory from the Alzheimer’s Society, Poetry Corner with Donald McKenna, Brenda Toal from the CAWT Older Persons Project, and closing remarks from the Mayor of Armagh.
