TASK Exhibit at Community Safety Event
| News |
Task Community Care recently attended an event organised by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership to promote community safety in the region. The event provided an opportunity for older people to come along and find out about services available to help them keep safe and secure in their homes and in the community.
Also in attendance was Fermoy Neighbourhood Watch who has been operating since 2007 and who are fully supported by the Gardai. Their aim is to make Fermoy a safer place for residents and a great place to live. Joe Tobin, Chairperson of the scheme spoke to us about the achievements of the Neighbourhood watch since then and of the importance of the Socially Monitored Personal Alarms to the elderly.
Ronan and Gemma from TASK had a great day at the event and enjoyed meeting the Lord Major of Cork and everyone else who attended. We want to thank everyone for a great day and for a very informative event.
