Ireland’s trusted Community Alarm & Telecare Provider, TASK Community Care, which operates the ‘around the clock’ Carelink Response Centre to thousands of individuals throughout Ireland has redesigned its website www.taskltd.ie. The redesign coincides with the Irish government’s recently launched Seniors Alert Scheme which provides grant support for equipment that enables older people without sufficient means to continue to live securely in their homes.
The new website is designed to provide information on how Community Alarms and Telecare can assist people to live safely and independently in their own homes. It also contains details of the numerous technologies that are available to individuals and their carers.
TASK Community Care Managing Director, Gerard Bunting who founded the TASK Limited Group in 1974, says, “Access to timely, reliable information on technologies that can assist individuals to live in the home of their choice and remain a part of the community has never been more vital”.
The improved website offers a fresh new look and technically provides its online visitors with significant improvements in navigation including easier accessibility for users with disabilities. Information is provided on specialist focus areas, including ‘Older People & Falls’, ‘Dementia’ and ‘Community Safety’.
Since its formation TASK Community Care has experienced exceptional growth and is now providing social alarm monitoring services for over thirty thousand individuals throughout Ireland. The redesigned web site reflects the breadth and dynamism of the company.
Managing Director, Gerard Bunting explains, “We approached the building of the website from the perspective of the individual, someone who could really benefit from using these technologies, but who is perhaps uncertain of exactly what is out there. So we hope it will serve as a reliable source of information on this. It also reflects our commitment to providing quality information in an accessible way, so that more people can benefit. TASK Community Care’s product range has significantly expanded in recent years. The ‘Community Alarm’ remains a core product line, but many additional sensor based 'attachments' are also available. The company’s impressive product listing which can be found on the new site includes Automatic Fall Detectors, Medication Reminders, Bogus Caller Buttons and Wandering Person Alerts. All of these items can be monitored by the Dublin based 24/7 ‘Carelink’ Response Centre to ensure that appropriate action is taken if necessary, even if an individual is not at home.
